ST. THOMAS — Virgin Islands police are investigating the death of a man who drove himself to the Emile C. Berry Fire Station in Dorothea a with gunshot wound to the neck at about 9:22 p.m. Wednesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With emergency medical technicians already\u00a0on the scene, the victim was taken to the Roy L. Schneider Regional\u00a0Medical Center by ambulance, where he later died. According to a police department statement, officers from the Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Richard N. Callwood Command responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCriminal Investigation Bureau officer\u2019s preliminary investigation revealed that the male was shot elsewhere and drove himself to the Dorothea Fire Station seeking refuge,\u201d the V.I.P.D. said.
