State Office Of Special Education To Launch Annual Parent Survey On March 19

ST. THOMAS — The Virgin Islands Department of Education’s State Office of Special Education, through a press release issued on Saturday, informed parents and guardians of children and youth with disabilities of the upcoming Annual Parental Survey that will be conducted territory-wide, beginning Saturday, March 19, 2016.

The purpose of the survey is to collect confidential data about the level of parental satisfaction with the Special Education programs and related services provided by the Department of Education, Divisions of Special Education, according to the release.

Surveys will be conducted through telephonic interview from the University of the Virgin Islands, Eastern Caribbean Center. Results will be used to assist the Department of Education with improving services provided to children with disabilities and their families, as the State Office of Special Education continues its efforts to improve overall results for those receiving its services.
