On Wednesday morning at around 9 a.m., a homicide occurred in Estate Work and Rest on St. Croix where 19-year-old Malik Davis lost his life after being shot in front of another man’s residence in connection with an argument over a horse. Today, the Major Crimes Unit on St. Croix has identified a person of interest, police spokesperson, Melody Rames, said.
Police are searching for 27-year-old Stedroy Hurst for questioning in the shooting death of Davis.
Hurst is 6 foot tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has black hair and dark brown eyes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Stedroy Hurst is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 340-712-6024 or 340-712-6066.
