Two St. Croix men, Steven Malik Moore and Terrell Johnson, both 19, who burglarized a home near the St.Croix Condominiums were arrested on November 4 after concerned residents filed reports with the police.
According police spokesperson, Melody Rames, officers were dispatched to the area at about 1:15 p.m., where residents say two suspicious males were walking in the area carrying bags. Officers had soon located the individuals and found multiple items in the bags they carried, including Beats speakers, four cell phones, two watches, one digital camera and other jewelry.
The officers also dispatched K-9 dogs to search for more items, and they were led to a bushy area where an Xbox and PlayStation were discovered.
The officers then followed the capture of the two men with an investigation to determine the owner of the stolen items, and located an area resident who told the police she had left her home at about 11:00 a.m., only to meet her house ransacked with several items missing when she returned. The resident was able to identify all of the items recovered by police as items stolen from her home.
The men, Steven Malik Moore and Terrell Johnson, were charged with Third Degree Burglary, Grand Larceny, Possession of Stolen Property and Trespass when they were arrested on November 4. They were arrested the same day, placed on $25,000 bail, and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
