Important Election Day Information You Need To Know

As the territory’s voters once again head to the polls on Tuesday, the following is important election-day information readers should keep in mind:

-Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

-Please bring proper identification with you when you head to the polls

-Only persons registered BEFORE the November 4 General Election are eligible to vote in Tuesday’s Run-Off Election

-Persons registered to vote November 10-12 are NOT eligible to vote in Tuesday’s Run-Off Election

-Voters will have full use of the DS200 machines during Tuesday’s Run-Off Election. After selecting a single team for governor, voters will be able to scan and verify vote using the DS200 before leaving the polling site.

-Only gubernatorial candidates Christensen-Ottley and  Mapp-Potter will appear on Tuesday’s ballot

-All government offices are closed

-All public schools are closed

-Employees who are required to work on Tuesday, by law, have two hours off to vote without loss of pay
