Major Crime detectives in the St. Thomas-St. John District have identified 60-year-old Edward H. Netherland as the homicide victim who was found Tuesday at his home, located on the east end of St. John. Autopsy results released Thursday list blunt force trauma as the cause of death.

Police say one of Netherland’s employees called 911 when he discovered the man’s unresponsive body at about 9:15 a.m. on November 18.

Detectives in the Major Crime unit are actively investigating the case. Police urge anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS. Calls may also be placed to 911 or detectives at 340-774-2211, extensions 5614, 5618 or 5619.
