Governor John P. de Jongh, Jr. has signed a proclamation designating leave for the territory’s workers to participation in the 2014 Christmas Holiday Season, The St. Croix Christmas Carnival and inauguration activities for the Mapp-Potter administration. See the proclamation here.
Days of leave are as follows:
- Wednesday, December 24, 2014 (Christmas Eve) — Administrative leave 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Territory wide
- Thursday, December 25, 2014 — Legal Holiday–Christmas Day
- Friday, December 26, 2014 — Legal Holiday–Christmas Second Day or Boxing Day
- Tuesday, December 30, 2014 — Administrative leave — St. Croix only — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — St. Croix Carnival, Food, Arts & Craft Fair
- Wednesday, December 31, 2014 — Administrative leave — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Territory wide
- Thursday, January 1, 2015 — Legal Holiday — New Year’s Day
- Friday, January 2, 2015 — Administrative leave — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. –Territory wide — St. Croix Children Carnival Parade
- Monday, January 5, 2015 — Inaugural Ceremony — Administrative leave — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Territory wide
