St. Thomas Next Generation Scholars Program Accepting Applications

Community Center / News / Virgin Islands / January 30, 2015

The Next Generation Scholars Program, a Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands initiative, is now accepting applications for St. Thomas high school students to join the group for the 2015-2016 school year.

Funded by the Lana Vento Fund for the Virgin Islands, the program seeks to provide first generation college-bound students enrolled in public schools on St. Thomas with coaching and support in their quest for higher education, according to information received from the organization.

Beginning as early as their sophomore year in high school, students accepted into the Scholars program are supported through the college admissions process, provided further support to ensure success in college, and groomed to mentor others in the Virgin Islands community.

For more information, contact Patricia Swan at (340) 774-6031 or to access the application online, go here.
