Free Church Health Screenings

Date: March 7, 2015 – 8:30am10:00am
Location: Hope SDA Church grounds, on the corner of the stoplight between Mon Bijou and Midland Road

Details: As part of their launch of a series of gospel meetings for the community, members of the Hope and Central Seventh-day Adventist Churches are inviting everyone to a day of FREE health screening services. Health professionals will be on hand to offer the following:

• HIV testing
• Blood pressure screening
• Blood sugar screening (please bring a snack if blood sugar is being checked)
• Body fat percentage screening

At 11 a.m., the “Youth with a Vision 10,000” Gospel Series will kick off its two-week effort, where youth from both churches will share their experiences in developing a relationship with God.

Rotary Day Celebration

Date: March 7, 2015 – 10:00am3:00pm

Location: Limpricht Park on King Street in Christiansted

Details: Rotary Club of St. Croix Mid-Isle will celebrate Rotary Day at the Christiansted Community Alliance Fair. In recognition of Rotary’s Literacy Month, a professional storyteller will give a presentation to children and FREE books will be handed out. Students may pick up applications for Rotary Mid-Isle’s college scholarships. In addition, a 2015 Jeep Patriot SUV will be on display, which is the grand prize of the club’s $10 raffle currently going on (second place is $1,000 cash and $500 cash for third place). The raffle drawing is April 25.

JFL Board Monthly Meeting

Details: The St. Croix District Governing Board of Directors of the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center will hold its monthly meeting. All board meetings are open to the public.
