WAPA Announces Portable Water Service Interruption For Customers In And Around Savan On Friday

Community Center / News / Virgin Islands / April 10, 2015

ST. THOMAS — The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) has announced a scheduled emergency water service interruption for the Savan Pump Station on today, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The interruption is required to allow personnel to repair a leaking manifold that is causing the pump station to lose pressure, which in turn causes customers living in higher elevations to experience low water pressure or no water service at all.

According to WAPA, the following areas will be affected by Friday’s water service interruption:

  • Levkoi Strade
  • Gylling Street
  • Circle Street
  • Hill Street
  • Gamble Nordsidevej
  • Section of Temple Street
  • Section of Hodges Street
  • Solberg
  • Section of Nye Nordsidevej
  • Section of Anna’s Fancy

The semi-autonomous entity apologized in advance for any inconvenience caused by Friday’s water service interruption.
