ST. THOMAS – The Legislature met in the Committee of the Whole and approved six of Gov. Kenneth Mapp’s cabinet members at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall in Charlotte Amalie Wednesday.

All 15 senators voted unanimously to approve: Sharon Ann McCollum for Education Commissioner, Pedro Cruz for Sports, Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Delroy Richards Sr. for Police Commissioner, Laurence Olive for Director of the Motor Vehicle Bureau, Mona Barnes for the Director of the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency and Catherine Hendry for Labor Commissioner.

All of the nominations that were approved today were commissioners or directors whose salaries remained the same as in the previous administration or whose salaries were lower than their predecessors.
