ST. THOMAS — Coki Point Road on St. Thomas will be closed beginning today for much-needed repairs, Department of Public Works Commissioner designee Gustav James has revealed through a press release issued this morning.
It will remain closed no later than July 3.
According to James, weather permitting, both lanes of the road will be closed within limited work zones and traffic will be detoured around the established zone. The disruption is necessary in order to bring the roadway back into compliance for safe usage, James said.
Public Works is urging motorists to utilize alternate routes and to pay close attention to posted signs, barriers and warning devices. Traffic control will be modified as work progresses.
