ST. CROIX — A man who fired gunshots after a vehicle with two occupants is on the loose, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson has revealed.
Jackson said officers were dispatched to a home in Sion Hill at about 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, to investigate a report of a vehicle that had been damaged by bullets.
The operator of the vehicle told police that he was about to drop a friend off to Estate Princesse, in the vicinity of Chocolate Bar. As he began to slowly drive off, he noticed a Hispanic male, wearing a white t-shirt and white stocking cap walking towards the vehicle with a gun pointed directly at him.
The motorist continued driving off when suddenly the suspect started firing shots, striking the vehicle several times, however, none of the occupants sustained injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
