ST. JOHN — A man was found slumped over a patio chair on Friday with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson has announced.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Kongens Gade in downtown Cruz Bay to followup on a disturbance report. Upon arrival, police saw the man’s body slumped over, unresponsive to their verbal inquiries.

The victim, a black male, has been identified by next of kin as Kenson Jolly, 25, of Pastory. He was also called ‘Jolly’.

The case is currently under investigation by the detectives with the St. John Criminal Investigations Unit. Anyone with information on this incident may contact them at 340-693-8880, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
