VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced the following arrests on St. Thomas from June 1-3.

Monday, June 1, 2015 – Ricardo Melana, 37 of Bergs Home was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery in connection with an incident where he assaulted the mother of his minor children with a stick and shoe. No bail was set for Melana and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.


Tuesday, June 2, 2015 – Earl Robert Blanchard, 63 of Parkside Drive, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree assault in relation to an incident where he assaulted an officer, resisted arrest, and interfered with an officer discharging his duties. Bail for Blanchard was set at $25,000 by order of the Court. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 – Nathlaie Tamika Turnbull, 25 of Hospital Ground was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery for her involvement in an incident where she and her boyfriend assaulted her sister by striking her numerous times about the body.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 – Cimeron Powell, 45 of Hospital Ground was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery for his involvement in an incident where he and his girlfriend assaulted her sister by striking her numerous times about the body.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 – Gregory Marsala, 42 of Honduras was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he collided with a metal pole and failed a field sobriety test. Unable to post bail of $500, Marsala was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
