ST. CROIX — The Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family Assistance is advising customers of the Job Opportunities and Basic Skills (JOBS) Program relocation to the new Division of Family Assistance (DFA) complex at 41-B Mars Hill, next to the VI Energy Office and immediately after the Frederiksted police station. Previously, the division was located at #17 Richmond.
The new location will officially open on Monday, July 6, at 8:00 a.m., according to a press release DHS recently issued.
Additionally, the Frederiksted Division of Family Assistance Office, which operates the Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program (SNAP), widely called Food Stamp, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and Energy Crisis Assistance Program (ECAP), previously located at 2-B King Street in Frederiksted, has also relocated to the new Division of Family Assistance complex at 41-B Mars Hill, and will officially open on Monday, July 6 as well.
DHS says all present customers of the Frederiksted SNAP, TANF, and ECAP programs, and those seeking services for the first time should go to the new location at 41-B Mars Hill.
DHS Acting Commissioner Vivian Ebbesen-Fludd wishes to thank the public for its patience during the relocation process.
