DLCA, Labor And Office Of Sen. Rivera-O’Reilly To Host Town Hall Meeting At UVI Today

ST. CROIX  — The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, Dept. of Labor and the Officer of Sen. Nereida “Nelly” Rivera-O’Reilly, will host a town hall meeting today at 5:30 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. at the UVI Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus, where a myriad of topics, including the price of gas and food on this island, will be discussed.

The town hall will see the aforementioned government agencies making known to the public ongoing initiatives. It will also serve as a forum through which residents can “air concerns or have questions answered regarding matters within the purview of the respective government agencies,” according to a press release Sen. Rivera-O’Reilly’s office issued late Wednesday.

According to the release, DLCA will have staff present to address any questions or concerns that the public may have, and encourages and welcomes all interested individuals to attend.

The department plans to conduct a series of these public meetings through which informative exchanges can be had between it and the public.
