Tourism Dept. To Participate In 2015 FCCA Cruise Conference And Trade Show In Mexico

News / Virgin Islands / September 18, 2015
The Department of Tourism announced today via press release that it will participate in the 22nd Annual Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Cruise Conference and Trade Show in Cozumel, Mexico from October 5 to 8.

For many cruise executives, destinations, suppliers and tour operators, the annual FCCA Conference and Trade Show is the premier industry event at which key industry players analyze trends and discuss current issues. Nearly 1,000 cruise industry partners, including approximately 100 cruise executives, attend each year, according to the release.

For 2015, the DOT is inviting destination marketing partners – hotels, venues, attractions, restaurants and tour operators – to join its delegation at the conference to showcase the variety of offerings in the USVI.

Each partner will receive an opportunity to promote its company in shared exhibit space and one full delegate registration, which includes access to workshops, networking events and one-on-one meetings with cruise line executives as arranged by the FCCA on a first-come, first-served basis.

To request an application, call 340 774-8784. The special partner fees will be covered by the Department, but contracts for participation must be completed and returned to the Department no later than Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Only one representative per company will be allowed to take advantage of this offer.

Participants must also make their own flight, hotel and ground transportation arrangements.

The Department, in its sole discretion, will retain the right to determine whether a prospective exhibitor or attendee is eligible to participate in the conference. Eligibility is generally limited to persons or firms who supply products and services to the cruise industry and can serve as professional representatives of tourism to the USVI. Only when the completed contract and a copy of a ticketed itinerary are returned to the Department of Tourism will partners be officially listed as a part of the USVI delegation.
