CERC, UVI School Of Nursing To Host 8th Annual Health Disparities Institute on Oct. 14-16

The Caribbean Exploratory Research Center (CERC) and the UVI School of Nursing will host the 8th Annual Health Disparities Institute at the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort on St. Thomas on Oct. 14-16, UVI has revealed.

The conference title is “Eliminating Health Disparities in Minority Communities: Translational Research, Targeted Policy Revisions, Community-based Participatory Research, and Capacity Building.”

The Institute’s program includes:

  • Two pre-institute workshops for healthcare providers and students
  • The Donna M. Christensen Lecture
  • Plenary and concurrent sessions
  • Poster sessions
  • Opportunities for students to dialog with experts in health disparities research
  • Opportunities to dialog with policy makers about health issues

Interested persons are encouraged to register early. Registration is available at http://uvi.kintera.org/cerc or http://cercuvi.com. Preregistration ends on Aug. 31. Registration fees increase after the preregistration deadline.
