Request For Proposal: 2013 Stop Violence Against Women Formula Grant

Legal Notices / September 24, 2015

The US Department of Justice, Office for Violence against Women makes STOP funds available to the Territory of the US Virgin Islands. These revenues are the result of Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, reauthorized in 2001, 2005, and 2013. Funding is based on a statutory formula.

The US Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women in conjunction with The Law Enforcement Planning Commission (LEPC) now accepts applications from private, non-profit organizations and Virgin Islands Government agencies (local court, law enforcement and prosecution) for programs designed to provide direct services to female victims of violent crime to include domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence. Programs should seek to implement comprehensive strategies to address violence against women which are sensitive to the needs and safety of the victims and hold offenders accountable for their crime.

Applications are available at the Law Enforcement Planning Commission. For an application package please contact Mrs. Tara Rodriguez, Grant Manager or Angela Lloyd-Campbell, Director, Victim/Witness Services at 774-6400 ext. 207 or 209 respectively or email at [email protected]or [email protected]
