TORTOLA — Law enforcement authorities here are probing the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a young man’s body with bullet wounds Monday evening at Butu Mountain, Road Town, in what appears to be the territory’s first homicide of 2015.

Reports say the body could have been in the house since last Saturday.

Residents smelt an odor coming from the house and when they checked, the young man’s body with bullet wounds was found.

He has been identified as Jason Leonard.

Some posts on Facebook said he was a good person and are questioning why this happened. Law enforcement are continuing their investigation into the matter.
