VIPA Issues Request For Proposals To Provide Taxi Service At The Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility

Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe announced that the Authority is seeking Request for Proposals from qualified companies to provide public taxi service at the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility on St. Croix. 

Request for Proposal packages may be obtained free of charge under the Business section of the Authority’s Web site at www.viport.com.  Packages may also be obtained for $100 each (non-refundable) at the VIPA purchasing department offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix.  Sealed proposals are due by November 5 at 3 p.m. (AST).  Proposals received after that time will not be accepted, said Dowe.

Dowe said that interested parties will be given an opportunity to ask questions at a pre-submittal meeting, which will be held on St. Croix on October 15 at 10 a.m. in the conference room of the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport Terminal. Immediately following the meeting, VIPA will host a site visit at the Abramson Facility.  Persons interested in registering for the tour should email [email protected].

He also invited the public to contact the VIPA’s Property Management department with any questions in writing to Denise M. Mills, CPM®, Director of Property Management, at [email protected]

A copy of the e-mail should also be sent to Jessica Santana, Acting Purchasing Supervisor at [email protected].  Questions will be accepted until 3 p.m. on October 23.  Responses to all questions will be issued by October 27.
