ST. CROIX — Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe has received notification that Celebrity Cruises has cancelled its October 25 visit to St. Croix, a press release VIPA issued this afternoon made known.
The ship, part of the Royal Caribbean family, was scheduled to berth at the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility in Frederiksted. Dowe said that no details were provided explaining the reason for the cancellation.
When contacted for more information, a Celebrity Cruises supervisor named Tanya told The Consortium that a response would be forthcoming, but was unable to make available any details as of press time.
