ST. CROIX — Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School Dolphin family is swimming for success with respect for oneself, respect for others and respect for the environment during a rally on good behavior on Thursday, a press release the Department of Education issued on Thursday made known.

Dressed in colorful T-shits by grade level, the classes took to the stage in the auditorium with chants and verses to display good behavior.  After taking their seats, Principal Andrea Hobson roused the students with “Yes, we are the best – we are the Dolphins, swim” in a lengthy session.  Later the students march to an upper level field and circled around it, while Principal Hobson continue to drill the students on the importance of displaying good behavior always.

School counselor and event coordinator Arverille Maillard said the school-wide pep rally was in accordance with the roll out of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  She added that the students are being taught to be on their best behavior in the hallway, classroom, cafeteria, bathroom, auditorium, and at recess, the playground and on the school bus.
