ST. CROIX — On Saturday, December 19, the Good Hope Country Day Interact Club and Rotary Mid-Isle brought cheer to the less fortunate of at the Lighthouse Mission in Christiansted through various activities, a press release Rotary issued on Saturday revealed.
The festivities included caroling, gift giving and a hot meal served to over 40 individuals. Rotary Mid-Isle has deemed the Christmas breakfast the Ron DeCosmo memorial breakfast in honor of the former Rotarian who spearheaded the event years ago.
The Good Hope Country Day Interact club, which has 20+ members, stuffed bags with toiletries and other goodies for all of the breakfast attendees. The club achieved this through fundraising and the generous donations of both Cheney Bay Resort and The Buccaneer Hotel.
“It was a great event,” said Rotary Club President, Kim DeLine. “What a wonderful way to celebrate the season by bringing joy to those less fortunate and sharing the opportunity to do so with the youth of our community.”
