Full carnival schedule inside.
ST. THOMAS — The Department of Public Works on Friday announced the closure of Fort Christian on the Waterfront, a sign that carnival activities here have shifted into high gear.
Public Works is asking that all vehicles vacate the parking lot — the traditional location for carnival — no later than 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. The department warned that vehicles found in the parking lot thereafter will be towed and the bill issued to the owner of the vehicle.
The parking lot will be available for regular parking on May 9.
This year’s carnival theme is: “Nothing is More Fabulous Than St. Thomas Carnival!”
