ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Water and Power authority, which experienced power outages in various parts of this island following a thunderstorm, said late Monday that its crews would continue working to restore power in “a number of small areas.”

According to the semiautonomous entity, service was restored to Estate Jolly Hill, Estate Rust Up Twist and Industrial Park areas today. Crews are assigned to the Estate Work & Rest area to replace a downed pole, Sion Farm Commercial Center where replacement equipment is needed to restore power and to St. George Hill where hardware on pole must be replaced to restore service.

As of mid- afternoon, there were reports of partial power at the following locations and crews have already been assigned to troubleshoot and restore power: Paradise, Estate Whim, Concordia, Mary’s Fancy, Peter’s Rest and Grove Place. Crews were dispatched to those locations at 4:00 p.m.
