ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a man accused of kidnapping someone. Though police did not clarify who the suspect had kidnapped, the case has been categorized as a domestic violence situation.
The suspect is named Tomas Melendez III, according to police. He is a Hispanic male weighing about 150 lbs, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and is of a light complexion, according to a description provided by police. His occupation is landscaping.
Mr. Melendez drives a red 1991 GMC Sierra truck, with a veterans license plate number V3L. He is also known to frequent the Williams Delight area.
