UVI’s Commencement Ceremony On Albert A. Sheen Campus Relocated To Complex Due To Inclement Weather

ST. CROIX — The University of the Virgin Islands 53rd annual Commencement Ceremony scheduled for today on the Albert A. Sheen Campus, has been moved to the St. Croix Educational Complex auditorium, due to inclement weather that has affected the original location. Commencement will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Perspective graduates can assemble in the band room. UVI’s faculty can assemble in choir room.

The class speaker on the Albert A. Sheen Campus will be Carlotta M. Walcott.

Iyanla Vanzant – prolific and commanding author, inspirational speaker, television personality and healer of people, will be UVI’s 2017 commencement keynote speaker, and will receive an honorary doctorate. Outstanding educator Ruth Elma Thomas and musical icon Stanley Jacobs will also receive honorary doctorates.
