Over 40,000 Pounds Of Supplies Will Be Distributed To Hurricane Survivors Today At The Canegata Ballpark

ST. CROIX — If you were affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and are in need of some relief supplies, you’ll want to head down to the Canegata Ballpark facility between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. today, where over 40,000 pounds of supplies, among them batteries, baby items, cleaning supplies, clothing, flashlights, non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, toiletries, towels and water will be distributed free of charge.

Residents are asked to bring their own bags when picking up supplies.

Event sponsors include the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Mu Gamma Omega Chapter), Ferrol Trucking, Just Right Trucking and Trash Removal,  Monarch Heavy Equipment Rental, the V.I.P.D. and the V.I. Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation.
