Featured / News / Virgin Islands / November 4, 2017

Postal officials gear up for another strong weekend of mail service, including package handouts and delivery during special Sunday hours, the U.S. Postal Service announced Friday.

All 117 operating post offices in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands will have handout of mail service on Sunday.  Of these, 96 post offices that provide residential delivery will continue package delivery where it is safe to do, according to the release.

Processing operations also continue to expand, these officials note.

In the U.S. Virgin Islands, post offices on St. Croix and St John will be open for pickup of mail on Sunday, November 5 from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m.

Offices on St. Thomas — Emancipation Gardens, East End and Charlotte Amalie — will open for mail pickup services at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., post officials note.

Customers who previously visited the Veterans Annex in St. Thomas for mail pickup are still directed to Charlotte Amalie while customers of the Frederiksted Post Office in St Croix are to visit the Kingshill Post Office for mail pickup.

All postal services resume normal hours, with retail services at 96 locations, on Monday in the Caribbean.
