Man Wanted For Attempted Murder In St. Thomas Arrested In Georgia

ST. THOMAS — A man wanted for attempted murder in St. Thomas was arrested on Tuesday in Georgia following a vehicular accident, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Wednesday.

According to Mr. Dratte, Jahani Joseph, above, was arrested based on a warrant that was out for his apprehension; his name was placed in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and following the accident, the Atlanta Georgia Police Department ran Mr. Joseph’s name through the NCIC system, only to find that Mr. Joseph was wanted for attempted murder in St. Thomas, according to Mr. Dratte.

Mr. Joseph was extradited back to St. Thomas on Tuesday where he is facing attempted murder and first-degree assault charges, according to Mr. Dratte. Unable to make bail of $450,000, Mr. Joseph was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
