These Are WAPA’s Priority Restoration Areas This Week

As the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority along with hundreds of linemen from around the U.S. continue their march towards complete restoration in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the utility continues to target communities still without power, and in a release issued early Tuesday, WAPA made known the areas it has identified as priority this week.

St. Croix: Blue Mountain, Brooks Hill, Bugby Hole, Cane Bay, Glynn, Grapetree Bay, Great Pond, Hannah’s Rest, Herbert Grigg, Hibiscus Point, Jolly Hill, Judith’s Fancy, La Grange, La Reine, Little Fountain, Little La Grange, Mon Bijou, Mount Pellier, Orange Grove, Peter’s Rest, Plessen, River, Salt River, Seven Hills, Sion Farm, Springfield, St. John, and Two Friends.

St. Thomas: Frenchman Bay, Lilliendahl & Marienhoj, Wintberg, and Tabor & Harmony.

St. John: Calabash Boom to Mandahl, Lameshur Estate, and East End Road.

In addition, crews are continuing to replace streetlights along major thoroughfares on all three islands and are working to restore electric service to traffic signals.
