Governor Kenneth Mapp announced a major project on Wednesday evening that is expected to help about 12,000 homeowners in the territory, with an average of $25,000 in construction work being spent on each approved home. Called the Emergency Home Repairs V.I. Project, the program, federally-funded, is being spearheaded by the Government of the Virgin Islands through the V.I. Housing Finance Authority.
