ST. CROIX — The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a household hazardous waste drop-off for residents of St. Croix Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and 17.
The event will be at the Home Depot in Kingshill from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you have household hazardous waste, such as used oil, paint, household cleaners and solvents, TVs and computers, make sure to separate the items and place in containers. The EPA will dispose of them properly.
The EPA is also collecting household hazardous waste at these locations:
- St. Croix:
- Frederiksted at Evelyn Williams Elementary School, 13A Mt. Pleasant
- Hours of operation: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; Last day Feb. 18.
- Frederiksted at Evelyn Williams Elementary School, 13A Mt. Pleasant
- St. John:
- Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center
- Hours of operation: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday; Last day Feb. 24.
- Coral Bay Fire Station
- Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday only; Last day Feb. 24.
- Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center
- St. Thomas:
- Bovoni Landfill
- Hours of operation: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; Last day Feb. 18.
- Home Depot at Tutu-Donoe Road
- Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday only; Last day Feb. 17.
- Bovoni Landfill
