Community Center / Virgin Islands / February 27, 2018

ST. THOMAS — Approximately 448 customers on St. Thomas Feeder 9B will experience an electrical service interruption on Tuesday, WAPA made known via release late Monday.

The utility says the interruption is necessary to allow crews to replace a blown fuse in the underground service which feeds the Aubrey C. Ottley Post Office in Sugar Estate. The planned service interruption is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and service should be restored by 9:00 p.m.

Customers in Sugar Estate, Estate Thomas and on First Street, Second Street, and Fourth Street will be affected, according to WAPA.

The authority apologized for any inconvenience caused by the planned service interruption and assured the public that all efforts will be made to restore service as quickly and as safely as possible.
