As The Political Season Comes To Bloom, Teri Helenese Is Back With ‘Sunday Edition’

News / Virgin Islands / March 4, 2018

Longtime VI Consortium readers will remember Teri Helenese, who once wrote the online paper’s Sunday Edition — opinions largely focused on current issues affecting the territory, with topics sometimes being birthed from the top stories of the week.

Well, as the political season comes to blossom, Ms. Helenese —  who holds a B.A. degree in political science and public administration from Florida Memorial College, and an M.A. degree in statistics and communications from the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management — is back on Sundays, and will be The Consortium’s 2018 campaigns and elections political analyst.

She has a lot in store, including the use of cartoons. Stay tuned.

Ms. Helenese, who is married and lives with her husband and their daughters in Washington, D.C., is a global human resources, strategic communications, and organizational design and change executive. In the past, she’s served as director of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Office of the Governor in Washington, D.C., director of public affairs in the Legislature, and director of human resources at Diageo USVI.

Her first opinion drops today.

I wear many hats, I suppose, but the one which fits me best would be journalism, second to that would be radio personality, thirdly singer/songwriter and down the line. I've been the Editor-In-Chief at my videogames website, Gamesthirst, for over 5 years, writing over 7,000 articles and more than 2 million words. I'm also very passionate about where I live, the United States Virgin Islands, and I'm intent on making it a better place by being resourceful and keeping our leaders honest. VI Consortium was birthed out of said desire, hopefully my efforts bear fruit. Reach me at [email protected].
