ST. CROIX — With the Democratic primary election just two months away (August 4) candidates are beginning to host weekly events as they jockey for top positioning among their competitors. Today, at its campaign headquarters in Barren Spot, St. Croix, Angel Dawson and Marise James will hold what the campaign is calling a “Crucian Rally” beginning at 6:00 p.m.

According to details of the event provided to The Consortium, whose broadcast arm will carry the event live on its Facebook platform, the rally will include entertainment before and after the candidates’ speeches, along with food and drinks.

The candidates will also receive endorsements today, according to the campaign.

Today’s rally will be the second of three territory-wide events the Dawson-Marise team is hosting. The first was on St. Thomas and the third will be held in St. John on June 10, according to the campaign.
