ST. JOHN — Police on Sunday arrested and charged a man who allegedly stabbed another man in the head, fracturing the victim’s skull.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, Shakoi Mactavious, 20, seen above, stabbed the victim on May 21 in St. John, which resulted in the fractured skull. The victim was airlifted out of the territory for medical attention.
Police made the arrest on Sunday and charged Mr. Mactavious with first-degree assault, with bail being set at $100,000 by a Superior Court judge, according to Mr. Dratte.
Mr. Mactavious was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections in St. Thomas pending his advisement hearing, according to police.
