ST. CROIX — A group of 10 Christian denominations will gather at Dorsch Beach in Frederiksted on Sunday and march to the Buddhoe Park, in what is being dubbed as a parade in response to the recent pride event held on June 9.
According to the release, participants are encouraged to sing, pray, play musical instruments, hand out pamphlets with religious quotes and hold up signs supporting the “Stand up for Jesus” march.
At the parade, several pastors will speak for 3-5 minutes each, “on abominations and God’s love.”
The event starts at 1:30 p.m. from Dorsch Beach and will include a police escort, according to the release.
The Consortium intends to cover it live.
