ST. CROIX — A man was arrested late Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment for firing gunshots at two individuals, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has made known.
Mr. Dratte said the 911 emergency call center was notified at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday of shots being fired in Mouth Pleasant West by a male individual who fled the scene after the incident.
Officers responded to the scene and upon further investigation, the Criminal Investigations Bureau was able to arrest and charge 18-year-old Jose Manuel Rivera, seen above, at 5:20 p.m.
Unable to make bail of $25,000, Mr. Manuel was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending his advisement hearing.
