As the election season in the USVI heats up, The Consortium’s new political broadcast show dubbed The Virgin Islands Political Consortium, will feature at least five gubernatorial candidates this week, giving residents an opportunity to hear for themselves the plans these candidates have some of the territory’s most daunting problems.
The interviews, with host Ernice Gilbert and co-host Ashley Scotland, start today with Senator Kurt Vialet and former Senator Kenneth Gittens.
Then on Tuesday through Saturday, only gubernatorial candidates are scheduled to be on the show, beginning with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Albert Bryan on Tuesday, followed by Governor Kenneth Mapp on Wednesday. Adlah Donastorg is expected to be the show’s Thursday guest, however Mr. Donastorg has said he will confirm his participation no later than Tuesday. On Friday, candidate Janette Millin Young will be interviewed, and Soraya Diase Coffelt on Saturday.
The weekday interviews start at 7:00 p.m. on run until 9:00 p.m., while the Saturday interviews start at 6:00 p.m. and run until 8:00 p.m.
The shows are recorded live at The Consortium’s broadcast studio in Five Corners and can be viewed on the publication’s Facebook platform and website.
