ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau (C.I.B.) is investigation a homicide that occurred near the Marley Housing Community in Frederiksted, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.
According to a release issued Thursday afternoon, today at 5:35 a.m., the 911 emergency call center received a call from a resident reporting a lifeless body in the roadway by the Marley Housing Community in Frederiksted. Officers along with emergency medical services personnel responded to the scene and discovered an unresponsive Hispanic male with multiple gunshot wounds about his body, Mr. Dratte said.
The victim was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital morgue by ambulance. He was identified as 24-year-old Roland Bogan.
The case is under investigation by C.I.B., Mr. Dratte said. The V.IP.D. is asking anyone with information about this homicide to contact the police force at 340-778-2211, or Crime Stoppers USVI with an anonymous tip here.
