ST. JOHN — The body of a black male individual was found floating in the Cruz Bay Harbor near the Customs dock Thursday morning, and police are investigating the matter, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced. As of Thursday, foul play had not been suspected.
Mr. Dratte said officers and support units responded to the scene and discovered a body in the water floating at about 7:00 a.m.
The deceased was identified by family members as 43-year-old Deon Stephen.
The case remains under investigation pending a medical examiner’s findings based on autopsy results, police said.
