Four of Governor Albert Bryan’s nominees will face senators during a Committee on Rules and Judiciary confirmation hearing set for next Thursday, according to a notice issued by the 33rd Legislature.
The hearing will be the first of many confirming events, where Mr. Bryan’s picks to lead departments and agencies will be defending their record before lawmakers.
The first four nominees to face senators will be: Department of Property and Procurement Commissioner Nominee Anthony Thomas; Bureau of Internal Revenue Director Nominee Joel Lee; Department of Education Commissioner Nominee Racquel Berry-Benjamin, and Bureau of Motor Vehicles Director Nominee Barbara McIntosh.
