Governor Bryan on Tuesday at the St. Croix Educational Complex honored Saeed Phillips, a teeganer who two weeks ago rescued his drowning friend, with the Courageous Citizen Award. Saeed also received a new iPhone from AT&T, a paid summer internship to work at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources’ Fish and Wildlife arm, and a soon-to-be-established Virgin Islands swimming program for youngsters will be named after him.
