Watch | Students Speak Up Following Dept. Of Education’s Failure To Secure Travel Tickets For Important Event

Videos / Virgin Islands / April 12, 2019

AP and speech students at the St. Croix Educational Complex on Thursday voiced their displeasure with the Department of Education’s failure in securing tickets for the students to travel to St. Thomas to participate in the Shakespearean Festival. The event takes place Friday, yet even after the students worked hard and invested time and money in their participation, D.O.E. — after getting three months’ notice — failed to purchase the tickets.

The good news is the students will be able to travel, following quick moves by Senator Alicia Barnes.
