Missing St. Thomas Teenager Found Safe

Community Center / News / Virgin Islands / April 22, 2019

ST. THOMAS — The 15-year-old St. Thomas minor who went missing on Friday was found safe on Sunday, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, along with the minor’s mother, have confirmed.

The minor, identified as Saviana Charles, was last seen in Lindberg Bay on the aforementioned date at approximately 8:10 p.m. At the time, she was wearing black shorts and a black shirt, police said.

“Found safe! Thank you everyone for your phone calls, prayers and texts,” said Nallini H. Williams, Saviana’s mother. “Heartfelt thank you from my family for all of your efforts.”

A post calling for the community’s assistance was shared over 700 times on The Consortium’s Facebook platform, as the community mobilized to help find the missing minor. While the V.I.P.D. release was not specific on the nature matter, the mother identified the occurrence and her daughter in a prior post as a “runaway teenager”.
