ST. THOMAS — A raid conducted by V.I.P.D. officers on the home of a man in St. Thomas on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of multiple illegal firearms along with ammunition, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.
The officers descended on the home of 37-year-old Lineras Warrell Tuesday at about 3:55 a.m., who was arrested on a warrant issued by a Superior Court judge.
Mr. Warrell was charged on five counts of possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was also charged with possession of unlicensed firearm within 1,000 feet of school zone/private youth center, possession of unlicensed ammunition, alteration of identifying marks/obliterated serial number, and first-degree reckless endangerment, among other charges, according to police.
Unable to make bail of $100,000, Mr. Warrell was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
