ST. CROIX — One of four men arrested in 2017 for his involvement in the East End Rape incident that rocked St. Croix, was found shot to death inside a house in Frederiksted at about 10:38 a.m. today, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has confirmed to The Consortium.

Link Baltimore Jr. was arrested in May 2017 along with three other young men and charged with first-degree rape, kidnap for rape, third-degree burglary, unauthorized possession of a stolen vehicle, and first-degree robbery. He was set to enter a plea deal on June 21, according to public records.

Mr. Baltimore was shot multiple times about the body at the home in Concordia, Frederiksted, and was found inside the house. Police sources say the shooting had all the hallmarks of an execution.

The V.I.P.D. said the incident is being investigated by the V.I.P.D.’s Criminal Investigation and Major Crime units.

Mr. Baltimore was identified by next of kin. He was 20.
